More than Human Landscapes

This project aims to show how Indigenous landscapes that are perceived as “wild” and “remote” for outsiders is full of life, nonhuman persons and meaning for the people living inside them. 

By letting users navigate the area on a symbolic map, Embracing Landscapes aims to show a mini representation of living geographies and important elements in it for the indigenous people living there. Each symbol on the map represents an important cultural element, in which we see real videos, photographs, sounds, explanations and interviews from two communities.
